Grafted polymers are specialty polymers chemically modified with functional groups to improve compatibility, adhesion, and impact properties in composite and blend systems. They act as impact modifiers, compatibilizers, and coupling agents, bridging otherwise incompatible materials to deliver superior performance.


What Are Grafted Polymers?

These are polymers (such as polyethylene, polypropylene, EVA, or elastomers) grafted with reactive functional groups like maleic anhydride (MAH), acrylic acid, or glycidyl methacrylate (GMA).

This Grafting enables them to form chemical or strong physical interactions with fillers, reinforcements, or other polymers, leading to significantly improved interfacial bonding.
